The Water Cycle

The water cycle is the journey water takes as it moves around our planet — from the oceans, up into the sky, and back down again. It never stops.

When the sun heats a lake or the sea, the water warms up and turns into an invisible gas called water vapour. This is called evaporation.

Fun Fact
A single drop of water can travel the whole cycle — ocean to cloud to rain — in about nine days!

High in the sky the vapour cools and clumps into tiny droplets, forming the clouds you see overhead…

Not just a voice.
A tutor who shows up.

Maya is Arcadia's on-screen tutor — a friendly, animated companion who reads with your child, listens as they read aloud and coaches their pronunciation, answers questions out loud, and turns ideas into pictures the moment they're mentioned.

Teach it back to Maya

The deepest way to learn something is to teach it. Your child explains the topic in their own words — out loud or typed — and Maya, now the student, tells them how well she understood and what to make clearer next time. Learning by teaching, built right in.

Always right there

Maya floats alongside every lesson — greeting your child by name and reacting as they learn. It feels less like an app and more like someone sitting beside them.

Reads along, word by word

As Maya reads each lesson aloud, every word lights up the instant she says it — turning listening into real follow-along reading practice.

Turns words into pictures

The moment a key term comes up — evaporation, gravity, a fraction — Maya transforms into a holographic illustration of it, so abstract ideas become something kids can actually see.

Answers out loud

Just say "Hey Maya" and ask anything mid-lesson. She pauses, answers in her own voice, then picks the reading back up — a patient tutor who's always listening.

Listens to your child read

Tap "Read to Maya" and your child reads the lesson aloud. Maya follows every word, colours each one green, amber, or red by how it was pronounced, and offers a word only when they truly get stuck — real reading practice with instant, patient feedback.

Guides every step

Maya hosts the walkthroughs too — introducing each part of Arcadia, reacting as your child explores, and always a tap away for a hint, so no one ever feels lost.

Built for how
children actually learn.

A Learning Journey, Mapped
Every subject becomes a visual trail your child travels — each topic a stop that lights up gold as they master it, with Maya marking where they are. Progress feels like an adventure, not a checklist.
Motivating progress
A Plan for Every Day
Each day Arcadia builds a short, personalised to-do list — brush up a weak spot, finish a quiz, review flashcards — with satisfying check-offs and a celebration when it's done. A daily rhythm that builds the habit.

Lessons That Adapt to Your Child
Arcadia builds a picture of what your child actually knows — and what they keep getting wrong. It quietly weaves the shaky ideas into future lessons and builds on what they've mastered, so every lesson is part of one continuous journey, not a one-off.
Truly personalised
Spaced Review That Makes It Stick
Once a concept is learned, Arcadia schedules quick reviews at growing intervals — the science-backed way memory actually forms. A daily review ritual, with its own streak, keeps everything fresh so what your child learns doesn't quietly fade away.
Long-term memory
Story Mode for Little Readers
For Years 1–3, lessons become big, tap-through picture cards — one idea at a time, a picture on every card, each read aloud by Maya. Exactly how young children learn, instead of a wall of text.
Made for ages 5–8
Proof They're Really Learning
The parent dashboard turns the scores you're already collecting into honest evidence your child is genuinely better than a month ago — and it refuses to claim growth it can't actually show you.

The perfect tutoring
companion.

Arcadia isn't just for homeschool families. It's a powerful tutoring tool for any child who needs extra support, wants to get ahead, or simply loves to learn.

Catch up on missed material

Fell behind at school? Arcadia generates lessons on exactly the topic your child is struggling with — at their level, in plain language, with a quiz to confirm understanding.

Get ahead of the class

Curious learners can explore topics beyond their school year. Arcadia tailors every lesson to the right level — so a Year 4 student can dive into Year 6 Science without getting lost.

Exam and test preparation

Every lesson comes with a targeted quiz on exactly what was covered. Repeat any topic as many times as needed — each lesson is freshly written, so it never feels like the same content twice.

Supplement any curriculum

Already using a curriculum? Arcadia works alongside it. Use it for deep dives on topics your child finds interesting, or to reinforce what was taught in class that week.

Ask questions, get answers

"Hey Maya" lets your child ask questions mid-lesson and get immediate, age-appropriate answers — just like having a real tutor in the room who never gets frustrated.

A patient, knowledgeable tutor for every subject — available whenever your child is ready, for less than the price of a coffee.

See that they're
actually improving.

Most tools show you activity — lessons done, minutes spent. Arcadia shows you growth: it compares how your child scored weeks ago to how they score now, graded the same way, and only claims a win when the evidence is really there.

Illustrative example of the parent Growth view

Built to earn a
parent's trust.

You're handing your child a tool they'll use for hours. Here's what we do — and deliberately don't do — to make it one you can trust.

Every lesson is fact-checked

A second AI model reviews each lesson for accuracy and quietly flags anything worth a second look. If your child spots something off, one tap reports it — straight to our review queue.

You decide what they see

Set the exact year level, hide any topic you'd rather skip, and lock the parent dashboard behind a password. Every quiz answer your child gives is there for you to read.

No ads. No feed. No strangers.

Arcadia is just your child and their lesson — no advertising, no endless feed, no chat with strangers, nothing engineered to keep them scrolling.

Your family's data stays private

Each account is private to your family and protected by encrypted passwords. We don't sell your data, and your child's work isn't used to train public AI models.

Frequently asked.

Is Arcadia a replacement for public school?
Arcadia is a comprehensive homeschool curriculum — the same ground as traditional schooling across Years 1–10 (K–12) and 11 subjects, from Maths and Science to World Languages. Content is aligned to your region's standards (US Common Core & NGSS, plus the UK, Australian, Canadian, New Zealand and Irish national curricula). Whether it fully replaces school depends on your local homeschool laws — in most US states, a documented homeschool curriculum like Arcadia is fully legal and accepted. Plenty of families also run it alongside regular school as an after-hours tutor.
How is this different from Khan Academy or other platforms?
Khan Academy plays pre-recorded videos. Arcadia writes every lesson fresh, personalised to your child's name, year level and interests — then Maya, an on-screen tutor, reads it aloud, listens as your child reads back and coaches their pronunciation, answers questions out loud when they say "Hey Maya," and turns key ideas into animated diagrams as she speaks. Kids can even teach a concept back to her to prove they understood it. Lessons can be delivered in 10 languages, and assessments scale from simple multiple choice for young learners to AI-graded essays for older ones. It's a live tutor, not a video library.
What age is Arcadia designed for?
Arcadia covers Years 1–10 (K–12) and adapts to every learner in between — early readers get a tap-through "Story Mode" with a picture and one idea per card, while older students get in-depth lessons and graded essays. Honestly, it's good for any age: whether you're 7 or 70, lessons adjust to how you learn and what you want to explore.
Can I see what my child is learning?
Yes — the Parent Dashboard gives you full visibility: lesson history, quiz and writing scores, subject progress, and a Growth view that shows, with real evidence, how your child has improved over time. You'll also get a weekly email summary of what they worked on. Content controls let you hide any topics you'd rather skip, and you can print a full academic transcript at any time.
Does it work offline?
Generating a brand-new lesson and its voice narration needs an internet connection. But your child's most recent lessons are cached on the device, so they can re-open and re-read them offline — handy for the car or a spotty connection. A fuller offline mode is on the roadmap.
